Day Wise Detail Itinerary
Pickup at Guwahati Station / Airport and enjoy the scenic drive to Kaziranga (220 Kms / 5 hrs). Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park, the home of the one-horned Rhino. NOTE: Tourist must reach Guwahati before 12.30 pm to avail this package as transfer to Kaziranga would not possible on the same day
Early morning elephant safari (1st ride 05:30 am to 06 : 30 am/ 02nd ride 06:30 am to 07:30 am). Wake up call half an hour before the ride. Return back to resort for breakfast. After breakfast jeep safari (either central or western range). Return to lodge for lunch. After lunch, drive to Guwahati. On arrival check in to your hotel. In the evening set out on a River cruise to watch the sun go down the Brahmaputra River and see yourself why the river is locally called 'Luit'- colour of blood. Overnight at your hotel
Visit the famous Kamakhya Temple and proceed to Shillong, Evening free for leisure activities.
After Breakfast, set off for Cherrapunji, the place that receives the highest rainfall in the world. Cherrapunjee is locally and officially also known as Sohra. It is situated at a distance of 56 kms from Shillong. It is a "must see" destination for all tourists. The average rainfall is about 12,000 mm a year and the record for a single day was 2455 mm recorded in 1974 confirming it as the "'Wettest place on Earth". On the way, visit the Duwanshing Syiem View Point, Ramakrishna Mission, Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sister Falls, Eco. Park, Bangladesh Border, etc. Enjoy the sunset over the hills in the evening. The night is spent at the hotel at Cherrapunjee.
Transfer to Shillong. On the way, see Mawsynram , Mawsmai cave and the local sightseeings of Shillong.
Visit Daoki (Bangladesh Border) and the Mawlynnong village, one of the cleanest village in Asia.
